STUDENTS. TEACHERS. PARENTS.

The Academic Booster Club of Puyallup got its start in 1983 as a community of families who joined together to support the needs of highly capable children in the Puyallup School District.

For 39 years, parents and teachers have teamed together to advocate for and on behalf of highly capable students to provide supplemental educational materials that schools could not afford, but that were necessary for them to meet their distinctive intellectual needs. Over the years, ABC has been instrumental in providing the resources which helped highly capable students achieve beyond what they believed was possible. In addition, classroom teachers were resourced in powerful and effective ways. Administrators were supported as they pursued professional development training to better serve highly capable students.

ABC was there when the QUEST Program for Academic Excellence was born and will continue to support QUEST as it evolves to meet the needs of our students. Today, the district's highly capable programs include Young Scholars (K-2), QUEST (3-6), PAGE (7-9), and AP course offerings at the high school level.

We join decades of parents and teachers to continue supporting students by giving direct scholarships to qualifying graduating seniors, resourcing classrooms, advocating for highly capable students, and building a stronger parent-teacher support community.
