Thank you for your support of our 2nd Annual On-Line Auction! A total of $2.079 was raised during the on-line auction. Like last year, several items had multiple bids tie for high bid, so the first high bid received took the item. All the winning bidders have been contacted using the e-mail address submitted with their bid. Were you a winner?
We invite you to join us on Thursday, June 4th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Maplewood Gym for the QUEST Open House and ABC General Membership Meeting and Silent Auction. QUEST will have student projects from the 2nd Semester on display. ABC will elect next year’s executive board and approve next year’s budget. We’ll have several new items up for bid during a silent auction, plus a second chance for you to bid on a few items that didn’t receive minimum bids during our on-line auction. There will be food available for purchase and lots of fun for all.
We received a number of requests to extend the deadline for the Gift Cents orders, so we extended the deadline through Friday, May 29th. Gift Cents promises a very fast turnaround for our orders, so we expect to have them back in plenty of time for Father’s Day and graduations.
Your support of the Gift Cents program, our Auction, and the Read-A-Thon has been critical to our fundraising efforts. I’d written a couple of weeks ago that the 1st graders had brought in more than $1,000 in the Read-A-Thon this Spring, an amount about 20% more than the average amount raised by the 2nd through 6th grade classes. The final numbers were even more impressive — the 1st graders actually raised about $2,200, over 2.5 times the average amount raised by the 2nd through 6th grade classes! Way to go!
